We would be delighted to welcome new members in all sections. There are no auditions. We rely on common sense and mutual assessment. We take our singing seriously, as befits a choir of about 30. We are pretty good musicians and readers, so we don't spend ages note-bashing. However, we have fun rehearsing and performing wonderful music, exploring, the byways as well as the highways of classical music. Our repertoire stretches from the 13th century to new works written specially for us. In particular though we sing music of the 17th and 18th centuries and these concerts are accompanied by specialist professionals playing period instruments. We are proud of the standard we achieve.
We rehearse Tuesdays 8pm to 9:45pm from September to June during school terms at St Nicolas Junior School, Link Road, Newbury RG14 7LY.
